Hi there,

Thank you for your report!
The team is aware of people reporting that quest items are not being recognized by NPCs even if the item is already in your inventory.

If you are using mods or have used them previously, this might be what is causing this issue. We recommend removing them, verifying your files and trying again. If you're unsure on how to safely remove mods, this link contains some steps on how to do it: https://larian.com/support/faqs/mod-information_77

If the issue persists after removing mods and verifying files or if you are not using mods at all, please send us a compressed save file showcasing this issue. Here are some instructions on how to do this if you're not familiar:
First, go to your Windows Explorer > View and make sure the option 'Hidden items' is selected so you can view all hidden files.
Next, each save is a separate folder in the %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\Savegames\Story\ folder.
Remember that in Windows Explorer you can zip a file or folder by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

And finally, attach it to your reply to this email. Or, if the attachment exceeds the size limit, please upload it to your Google Drive, set the permission to 'Anyone with the link' and send us the link so that I can download the save file and attach it to your report.

Kind regards,
Chantal
